Over the years, we realized many kids left camp and entered into the real world and had difficulty understanding how to apply at home the Gospel they had heard at camp. Some campers go home to a community of friends and older people pouring into them and teaching them what following Christ looks like outside of camp. However, many campers do not have that. We wanted to offer to campers an encouraging way to pursue Christ alongside others while at home.
The Gospel is not simply a story that we learn and then progress past as we mature. The Gospel is The Lord’s overwhelming faithfulness to us out of His vast love for us. The Gospel changes everything in our life. The more we understand and love Jesus Christ the more our lives are upended and the way we live our lives begins to steadily change. We want campers to have an opportunity, if they do not already at home, to spend time with other campers and counselors who are also learning to follow Jesus on their soccer teams, dance teams, at work, at home, and anywhere in between.
Two counselors will, once a week, lead a 30-minute online video chat, or “Trailstone Group,” of similar aged campers in encouraging, Gospel centered conversations. The groups will start up mid-September and run through April (with breaks around the holidays). All counselors will be our staff from the summer or summer before who have gone through our extensive training programs.
We are beyond excited to be able to offer this to every camper who is 13 years old and up. For more information, contact firstname.lastname@example.org.

Who can participate?
Campers who have finished 7th grade and up.
How much do Trailstone Groups cost?
Trailstone Groups are offered to all free of charge.
How does "The Trailstones" fit with my child's ongoing discipleship within our local church?
We want to be clear that this is certainly not replacing the church, but rather coming alongside your local church as we are all showing kids the beauty of Jesus and what following Him looks like. We absolutely believe part of following Jesus in real life is belonging to a local church in which we worship the Lord together and are encouraged, taught, and challenged. Our ultimate goal in these groups is to uplift Jesus Christ and show campers what following Jesus looks like, which includes being a part of a local church.
